A DESTINATION

Colombian-born Chef and Owner Edgar Caro has garnered national praise for showcasing the soul of South America at his successful Uptown eatery, Baru. Later, Edgar, along with co-owner Antonio Mata, teamed up to bring their signature style to Basin Seafood & Spirits. Now the duo is bringing another colorful dining tradition to the greater New Orleans area in the form of Brasa Churrasqueria. Brasa offers a farm to table steakhouse experience daily with regional ingredients and latin flair. A nostalgic tribute to the steakhouses of South America, this new neighborhood eatery will become a local tradition.

Chic, sophisticated and visually striking, Brasa Churrasqueria brings the culinary vision of Chef Edgar Caro and restaurateur Antonio Mata to old Metairie.

At Brasa, we believe that being a great asador is all about perfecting a sixth sense for grilling. Learning to prepare the perfect steak takes time - and it's a skill we've perfected over the course of hundreds of Sundays on our own backyard parrillas
